Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Student Success Coaching Coordinator. Campus location for this position will be determined at a later date. This position may be required to travel to various campuses to meet operational requirements. This position will report to the Director of Advisement. The Success Coaching Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities/initiatives related to Student Success Coaching at the college. This position functions as part of the Student Success Coaching/First-Semester Advising teams, but includes additional administrative-related responsibilities. This includes other duties listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with coordinating and conducting student success coaching services to help students persist in their program of study.
• Development and Coordination of retention efforts for new and continuing students.
• Develops strategies to retain students.
• Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with the Office of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs department, faculty and staff to facilitate coaching, academic progress review, and implement innovative retention programs and services for new, at-risk and enrolled students.
• Help improve strategies to promote related student support services for academic persistence and success.
• Monitors student attendance, performance, and academic progress.
• Assist dual enrollment students’ transition to GNTC after high school graduation.
• Coordinates services with relevant college departments and community agencies.
• Attends success coaching and academic advising trainings, department and division meetings.
• Solicits student feedback and experience with student success coaching and retention efforts.
• Coordinates, tracks, reports, and uses retention data research and analysis, using Banner, KMS and other resources, to identify obstacles to student achievement and retention.
• Designs, coordinates, and targets new intervention services, programs, and initiatives focused on student retention, development, and persistence.
• Assists with implementation of processes related to new or updated software such as Target X/Salesforce or other coaching related platforms.
• Function as part of an early alert team to support college persistence and retention.
• Function as part of the First-Semester Advising team to support advising practices.
• Participates in opportunities to increase and share knowledge about the role of the student success coach to improve counseling resources, strategies, and college policies and procedures
• Assists the Director of Advisement with communication of departmental processes and initiatives to the rest of the Student Success Coaching team.
• Assist with communication, collection of documentation, and dispersal of equipment related to Accessibility Services intake process as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education*and* Three (3) years of related experience.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Two (2) years of work experience in a related field.
Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Advisement and student registration experience.
Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.
Salary: $50,000 Annually
